‘Skin Came off’: Stepdad Burned 10-Year-Old’s Hand on Stove for Pushing Brother, Cops Say

A Florida man is facing serious charges after allegedly burning his -year-old stepdaughter s hand on a hot stove in what agents describe as an act of extreme child abuse The child s mother was also arrested after learning of the episode and failing to statement it to bureaucrats according to law enforcement Georgy Almony was taken into custody on Monday and charged with aggravated child abuse causing great bodily harm The child s mother Milliene Adeclat was charged with child neglect and aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer after allegedly attacking police during her arrest Source WPLG Disturbing Assertions Unfold in Biscayne Gardens The affair reportedly occurred on Saturday April at the family s home in Biscayne Gardens an unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County According to a probable cause affidavit the -year-old girl was home with Almony and her brother while Adeclat was at work Almony allegedly became enraged after the girl pushed her brother In response police say he grabbed the child by the arm dragged her into the kitchen and forced her hand onto the stovetop which was hot enough to burn the skin off her hand leaving behind a visible coil pattern from the burner The child reportedly screamed in pain ran into her bedroom with Almony s cellphone and right now called her mother to analysis what had happened Mother Failed to Act After Abuse Document Despite being informed of the happening by her daughter investigators say Adeclat failed to seek help or alert officers It wasn t until the child went to school the following Monday two days later that a professor noticed the injury and contacted the police Administration responded and launched an examination Both Almony and Adeclat were taken to the Miami-Dade Sheriff s Intracoastal Station for questioning Police say Almony refused to speak while Adeclat denied the abuse ever occurred even though her daughter had reportedly narrated her about it instantly after it happened Arrests Made Court Dates Set Following questioning both persons of interest were transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center Almony was booked and later issued on bond while Adeclat was distributed after posting a bond She also faces an additional charge for allegedly pushing and punching police officers during her arrest Both are scheduled to appear in court on May as the affair proceeds The condition of the young girl has not been publicly updated but administration have substantiated that she suffered serious burn injuries Child welfare advocates and officials have expressed concern over the development highlighting the importance of timely reporting of child abuse and ensuring that those responsible for protecting children are held accountable when they fail to act
