More stormy skies and humidity ahead for San Diego County

Locals and visitors enjoy La Jolla Shores Photo by Chris Stone Times of San Diego Mother Nature is mixing things up this weekend as a low-pressure system spinning to the south moves through San Diego County with humidity a chance of showers and even a scarce rumbles of thunder Greater part areas west of the mountains are expected to receive less than a tenth of an inch of rain according to the National Weather Institution However mountain areas could see heavier downpours with rainfall rates nearing half an inch per hour in the strongest cells Forecasters note that the exact path of the low will determine how much rain reaches inland and coastal areas The heaviest precipitation is likely Sunday afternoon and evening as the system exits the region High temperatures Sunday are expected to reach to near the coast inland to in the western valleys to in the mountains and to in the deserts the NWS revealed A second weak low-pressure system is forecast early next week maintaining mild temperatures and bringing patchy coastal clouds through Tuesday By midweek yet another weak system is expected to glide down the West Coast helping keep conditions stable with slight warming doable in inland areas by next weekend
